Marisa has been working with animals for over 20 years. She began her career as a veterinary receptionist and later became a veterinary technician, while also volunteering at shelters and fostering pets in her home.

Driven by her passion for animal health and building meaningful relationships with pet parents, Marisa founded BarksNPurrs in 2012 with just a handful of clients. What started as a small, hands-on operation quickly grew into a trusted pet care team.

Today, BarksNPurrs continues to grow while maintaining a close-knit, experienced, and detail-oriented team — with the majority of our staff having been with us for over three years — all dedicated to keeping pets happy, healthy, and loved.
